"For the wages of sin is death, but the
gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
God has warned us about how we are planting in
our lives.
We know that every planting brings forth a
harvest and God's care for our lives, makes us be careful in what we speak, act
and desire for the lives of others. When we engage in such wrongdoing, we are
sowing in our lives and often without reflecting before acting or speaking
something.
Sin is basically miss the mark. Often people
think that sin is only that which is great, a huge lie, that there is
"sin" and "sin". However, there is not a single sin that
has not been the cause of Jesus being crucified. Sin is like credit card. It
may even be good to use, but one day the bill comes.
The chief consequences of sin are death and
separation from the presence of God. These two consequences cause much
suffering in the life of the sinner. God would keep us from suffering in the
future, warning us about sin. Let us be quick to "cleanse" ourselves
before God by repenting and letting Him accomplish in us both wanting and
doing!
