"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of
knowledge; the foolish despise wisdom and instruction. " Proverbs 1: 7
The fear of God is one of the firm foundations
for building a lasting history of faith. We have lived a time where there is
scarcity of fear. People who claim to be Christians have accepted every dubious
behavior in their lives, and it has become increasingly difficult to know
whether a person serves the Lord or not.
To fear God is to respect him. It is to seek to
live in a way that is pleasing to the Father. It is to align our behavior with
the holy way that the Creator planned for each one of us. It is to act as if
Christ were coming back at the end of the day.
Your life may be a little disoriented for lack
of fear. Stop accepting immorality in your life. Leave impure relationships.
Stop feeding your eyes and your body with sin. Accept the standard of purity
that the Father has determined for you.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of
wisdom.
