OUR GLORIOUS HERITAGE

"The same Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are children of God. And if we are children, then we are heirs also, heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ: if we suffer with him, that we also may be glorified with him. " (Romans 8: 16,17)

The verses above show us that glorious destiny awaits us as sons and heirs of God. We will be glorified with Christ. Until this becomes a reality, we will go through suffering, but before us is the glory.

Our Savior has already reached it as a human being, but He wants to share it with us, for we are His by faith, inseparably united to Him. Some passages of the New Testament speak of this:

"But our city is in heaven, from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall change our humble body, to be conformed to his glorious body, according to his effectual power to subdue all things" (Philippians 3: 20,21).

"When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then ye also shall appear with him in glory" (Colossians 3: 4).

"But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath chosen you from the beginning unto salvation, through the sanctification of the Spirit, and faith of the truth; for which by our gospel he hath called you, that ye might obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ "(2 Thessalonians 2: 13,14).

The greatness of the glory of our Savior will be manifested in us. What a richness of His grace!
