God loved the world

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Thought: You knew the Bible does not just say, "God loves you." Do not get confused. The Scriptures often tell us that God loves us. But do not miss an important truth here. Every time the Scriptures say that God loves us, He also shows that love. God's love is more than emotion and intention. The love of God is demonstrated. God loved us so much that he did not just say, "I love you." God showed His love by sending and sacrificing His Son to give us His incomparable love! We need never doubt that God says what he means. He fulfills His promises with actions.

"In this was the love of God manifested unto us, that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him." 1 John 4: 9

Prayer: Loving and Almighty God, thank you for loving me. Thank you for saying so and showing it. Know, dear Father, that I love you too! Accept my words and actions today as a testimony of my love. Through Jesus I pray. Amen.
