"Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord' and do
not do what I say? I will show you what is compared to him who comes to me,
hear my words and practice them. He is like a man who, when building a house,
dug deep and laid the foundations on the rock. When the flood came, the torrent
struck the house, but it could not shake it, because it was well built. But he
that heareth my words, and doeth them not, is as a man that built a house upon
the ground, without foundation. At the moment the torrent struck that house, it
fell, and its destruction was complete. " Luke 6: 46-49
Jesus warns us to practice our faith. It is
no use talking but not living.
For whoever speaks much of Jesus but does not
seek to live as He lived in Him is not signed. It's like a house without a firm
foundation. Will not stand a strong storm, will not stand. There is no holding
up the winds without being steadfast in Jesus.
But whoever seeks him truly and
wholeheartedly seeks to live as he lived, to be ethical as he was, kind and
merciful, patient, finally, as his aim of life, to be like him, can believe,
will come winds, storms, attempts at destruction, but nothing can overturn it.
Its foundation, its rock is Christ.
Build your life in Jesus, nothing can destroy
