"May He strengthen
their hearts to be blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the
coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints" (1 Thessalonians 3:13).
To be blameless is to seek
perfection. So we have to act in our daily tasks. We will never reach
perfection completely, but we must seek the will of God before we act. When we
do this, we find the best way to do any activity.
We will only find holiness
if we ask the Lord in our prayers. In intimacy with God, we are graced with His
revelation and strengthening. The end of the highlighted verse states that at
the coming of Christ, His saints will be with Him. Who are these? They are His
children, who truly seek holiness; that is, they seek to live apart from sin.
"Be patient also and
strengthen your heart, for the coming of the Lord is at hand." James 5: 8
