"For God hath called us to live in
peace." 1 Corinthians 7:15
Sometimes it is difficult to live in peace
with others. The devil whenever he can, seeks to undermine our relationship
with all those around us, injecting discord. We must learn to perceive when a
discord or strife is beginning and willing to resist the devil, early in the
attack.
The Word of God teaches us that our main
purpose in life is to learn to live in peace!
"Now the servant of the Lord must not
live in strife" (2 Timothy 2:24).
If we want to serve the Lord, we can not live
in conflict. We must make a firm decision to resist them. We must finally
understand that to love, as God teaches us, we must be willing to give up our
right to be right! LOL.
To live according to the principle of love
means not seeking what is best for ourselves, but for the one we love!
Someone may say, "That's not fair!"
Whenever we question God about what seems
unfair, He will remind us that the death of Jesus on the cross was not a
righteous act either; it was an act of love!
Let us strive then to live a life of peace
with others. This is God's standard!
