"The delayed hope faints the
heart, but the desire met is a tree of life." Proverbs 13:12
The Lord knows the longing of the wounded
heart. He knows how long you have waited on His promises, and wants to renew
your strength on that day. The Word states that "longing for hope weakens
the heart" (Proverbs 13:12). Your heart is weak, is not it?
Why, raise your head. Reflect on this
situation. Think about why the Lord has not yet brought the answer to this
prayer. I have thanked God for some personal prayers that He did not answer.
Today I understand that some situations that I prayed so much, if they were
easily resolved, would not have given me the opportunity to have experiences to
share with you.
The Father daily renews His promises in our
lives. No word of him shall fall to the ground (Jeremiah 1:12). Rest, fix your
eyes on Christ. Before the resurrection comes the cross. Before your victory,
the tears.
But all the time, God is with you!
"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he
will attend to the desires of your heart." Psalm 37: 4
