"Take the stone," he said.
(...) Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?
"(John 11: 39,40)
Martha and Mary faced difficult days with the
death of their brother Lazarus (John 11). They knew of a person who could
reverse that situation. He knew enough to say that He could solve that problem,
for they had already witnessed innumerable miracles performed by Him. In their
hearts they thought, "If Jesus were here, it would not have
happened!" John 11:21. The presence of Jesus would make all the
difference.
How wonderful to know that there is someone
who can do miracles. It is more wonderful to know that this one is always with
outstretched hands to bless us. It all depends on whether or not we believe in
Him, whether we believe He can work miracles. Even after 04 days dead, smelling
bad, through the faith of those women, Jesus gives the order to remove the
stone that surrounded the grave of Lázaro and has him to leave there. What
happens? Lazarus comes out of the grave, hallelujah!
I do not know what adversity you are facing
and what miracle you need. However, I know that as we go on living, we are
experiencing difficult, painful situations that often mark our lives, bringing
wounds to the heart that even hardens and petrified. From so much suffering it
may be that you have lost all hope and enthusiasm for living and no longer
believe in miracles.
But today I challenge you: to go to Jesus and
tell Him what is going on in your life. Shed your tears in His Presence. Tear
your heart and tell Him everything that causes you pain and suffering. He alone
has the power to remove "the stone." He alone can bring life to the
dead. It is necessary, however, that you believe, that you seek it with all
your heart. He is God of miracles and can do a miracle in your heart.
A week full of love and miracles for all of
us!
