TOMORROW BELONGS TO GOD

"In the day of prosperity rejoice, but in the day of adversity consider: for God hath made both this and that, that man should know nothing that shall come after him" Ecclesiastes 7:14
Alfred Hitchcock (1899-1980), famous director of thriller films, told a parable to Guideposts (1959) about the unknown. "There was once a king to whom two desires were granted: his first request was to see the future, but when he saw all that was to come forth-beauty and pain-he immediately asked for his second wish: that the "I thank Heaven," proclaimed the master of suspense, "Tomorrow does not belong to any man. Tomorrow belongs to God. "
Many times we are so worried about tomorrow that we forget to live today. We grieve to see our dreams and longings delay, we conclude that our future is uncertain, that nothing will be right for us, and we miss great opportunities to live happy with the countless blessings that the Lord gives us today.
Tomorrow belongs to God and we must trust that it will be wonderful, even if the present moment does not show signs that it will be so. God is love and everything he does for us is based on love. If we do not experience it, it is because our eagerness to attain the pretended happiness by our own merits and efforts sometimes leads us to shortcuts outside the Lord's will, thus preventing us from finding the blessings that God has prepared and placed at our disposal .
It is up to us to live today as best we can. If the will of the Lord is that we should live in love, let us strive to do so in all the days of our lives. If the Lord's will is that we believe that He cares for us today and will continue to care for all eternity, let us rest without ever doubting it. If the Lord's will is that we testify of His greatness here on earth, let us strive to make our lives shine for the glory and honor of the name of Jesus.
Tomorrow to God belongs, and will be filled with happiness for us who live with joy and dedication every minute of today.
