The wise man perceives evil and hides
himself under the wings of the Lord. He goes to seek refuge in the Strong
Tower, which is God, in order to remain secure (Proverbs 18:10), for He is an
ally, protector of those who seek refuge in Him. He who fears the Father,
seeking in him strength and protection, will be blessed in all his ways with
protection and security, "He who fears the Lord has a sure fortress, a
refuge for his children." Proverbs 14:26.
Temptations and tribulations come, but being in
Christ, the house of the wise man will not be shaken. We can place our trust in
the Almighty. He does not change and is not shaken under any circumstances. It
remains the same in all situations.
We can not turn away from God and seek refuge
in the things of this lost world that will perish. The Lord is the way and
source of life. As the apostle Peter said, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You
have the words of eternal life "(John 6:68). There is no other way to go.
Christ is the truth and the life.
