TEARS AT YOUR FEET

"And when he was behind him at his feet weeping, he began to water his feet with tears, and wiped them with the hair of his head; and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. " Luke 7:38
The Bible tells us that Jesus did not come into the world to be flattered by "good people": the Lord came to us to "seek and save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10). For it is this biblical statement that has most scandalized the religious prisoners of human rituals and traditions.
The episode narrated by Luke leaves no doubt as to the thought of Jesus concerning His mission in this world of humble sinners, side by side with sinners without humility. "When he heard that Jesus was eating in the house of the Pharisee, a certain woman of the city, a" sinner ", brought a bottle of alabaster, with perfume ... Weeping, he began to wet his feet with his tears. Then he wiped them with his hair, and kissed them, and anointed them with the perfume "(Luke 7:37, 38).
How can we recognize the divine mercy of Christ, when we stand face to face with Him? Weeping deeply, because of the insistence of our kind of life, which disrespects the power of divine forgiveness. Our repentance must lead us to the public expression of our tears. But by kissing Jesus 'suffering feet, we accept the kind of testimony we are to give to the world, proclaiming the intensity of His forgiveness and the rehabilitation that only His Spirit performs in our disciples' lives.
