"As the vessel, which he made of clay,
broke into the hand of the potter, he made another vessel for him, according to
what it seemed good in the eyes of the potter to do." Jeremiah 18: 4
We are rather rebellious vessels. We are not
always as malleable as we think. The scene that Jeremiah saw is quite
interesting, for it is very beautiful to see the vessel, already modeled, if it
breaks in the hands of the potter.
This remarkable vision brought him several
messages:
(1) although we are a work of God in progress,
we do not always submit fully to his will;
(2) Even when we have broken, we remain in the
hands of our Potter;
(3) the Potter will insist on giving us the
form he originally planned.
Maybe you are feeling broken today my friend,
but, your life remains in the hands of God. Allow Him to repair to you all that
you allowed to be destroyed in your life!
"Can not I do of you as the potter did, O
house of Israel? says the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the hand of the
potter, so are ye in my hand, O house of Israel. " Jeremiah 18: 6
God bless you!
