WHERE DO YOU SEEK HELP?

"The law of the Lord is perfect, and strengtheneth the soul: the testimonies of the Lord are trustworthy, and make the inexperienced wise: the precepts of the Lord are righteous, and give gladness to the heart. light to the eyes. " (Psalm 19: 7-8)

What do you do in times of crisis? When the tragedy arrives or a disaster happens, do you open your favorite website? Do you read gossip magazines? Looking for futilities?

We need something that strengthens us and gives us direction in times of need and it is the Word of God that gives us just that.

Someone wrote, "A little jewel of the ocean is worth more than all the pebbles of the rivers of the earth." A little jewel of God can make all the difference in the world. How many, in times of distress, seek comfort in the Scriptures?

I can say from personal experience that I have already put the Word of God to the test, not only during my years as a Christian, but especially in the last 21 months. I trusted in what the Bible says and it sustained me and gave me direction, hope, and comfort when I needed it. Little banalities or clever phrases do not help, but the Word of God does. As it is said, "He who rejects the Bible has nothing to live for. He also has nothing to die for."

Manners come and go, but the Word of God never goes out of style. It is never out of date, like newspaper news. The Word of God will always be relevant.

That is why I insist that you have a good foundation in this Book, because it is only a matter of time until difficulties come to you. The affliction will come. The tragedy too. It happens in anyone's life. There are no exceptions. But if you have the foundations of the Word of God, you will be ready for when those times come. Do not wait until there to run after. Build this foundation now.
