TO LOVE GOD OF HEART, SOUL AND FORCES

Jesus said that the greatest commandment is to love God. Nothing is more important than that. But how does the love of God express itself? To explain how love for God should be, Jesus quoted in Deuteronomy 6: 5:
"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."

With all your soul

Your soul is your personality, your thoughts and your understanding. Do you seek to know God more? Do you use your intelligence and your abilities to get closer to him? Is your relationship with God part of your identity?

Love of God is not just emotional. It's a decision you make. Seeking more of God is a conscious act that requires discipline and willpower. It is also to direct your thoughts to the things of God.

Of all your strengths

Loving God with all your strength means using your body, your actions and your words. Does the way you act reflect your love for God? Do you honor God with the way you use your body?
