"And my God, according to his riches in
glory, shall supply every need in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19
Normally, as we read this verse, we immediately
envision our needs for food, clothing, housing, and other bills we need to pay.
Of course the apostle Paul referred to these
needs, but it is wonderful to know that God supplies us with material things,
but also in many other ways, for God is complete!
You may be financially comfortable and well,
but your heart may be in pieces because of a difficult relationship with a
child. You may be in need of a job, but apart from the lack of a salary at the
end of the month, feeling incapable and unproductive is making you sad too much
...
Who knows, your health is not so good and you have been presented with a
diagnosis that is wanting to steal your peace. Anyway, the response needs we
have are diverse.
As you read the previous paragraphs, I'm sure
you've already remembered something that lives and needs the intervention of
God. So today I want to remind you that the Word of God never fails and that
God does not change his mind about what he has promised.
God will always supply you with what you need:
financial resources, joy, warmth, protection, health, wisdom, company, finally,
various solutions. He understands you and will never abandon you. Do not grieve
your heart for fear of something lacking. Besides God giving you the basics to
live, He promises that your response will be beyond what you expect because He
loves you too! Exercise your faith and rest in the Lord!
Declare aloud: Father, it is wonderful to know
that the Lord knows me deeply and knows everything I need. Because it loves me,
it supplies all my material needs, but also the emotional ones. The conclusion
I reach is that I serve a totally complete God who takes care of me! Thank you
for that. In the name of Jesus, amen.
