"And Jesus, moved with great compassion,
stretched forth his hand, and touched him, and said unto him, I will, be thou
clean." Mark 1:41
During His
ministry in Galilee, a leper approached Jesus, begging for His power to heal.
"Jesus took pity on him, touched him and said - yes. I want. You are
healed. And the leprosy disappeared, and he was healed "(Mark 1: 41,42).
When we realize
the size of our spiritual impurities, it is hard to believe that the Lord
really cares for us and heals us. Our Enemy wants us to convince ourselves that
we have no way, because of the size of our sins. In reality, our impurities are
large, deep, constant.
The question of
the leper Galileo begins exactly by the confession of his personal impurity.
But he did not stay there. He went further and tested the love of Jesus:
"If the Lord wills, the Lord can heal me." Jesus' response was and
always will be the same: "I will. You are healed. " Our Christian
life should not be measured by the size of our faults, but by the size of the
powerful and restorative love of our Christ. The Lord always
wants.
