"Strengthen your weary hands, steady your knees, and say to
the discouraged of heart," Be strong, fear not! His God will come, he will
come with vengeance; With divine retribution will come to save them. "
Isaiah 35: 3,4
After His people sin so much against Him, forsake Him, worship other
gods, neglect His Word and suffer the consequences of their wrong choices, the
Lord by His great love announces a new time. A time of peace, rejoicing, rest
and joy ... He brings the message of encouragement and comfort to all, and
encourages them to be strong and trust in the Lord, their Deliverer and Savior!
We live in difficult days, when we are in constant threat, pain,
confrontation and war. Our enemies today are others, however, as threatening
and harmful as the people of God faced at that time. We live days in which we
have to struggle with our own flesh, weaknesses, physical, emotional and
spiritual limitations; Fight against the values of the world that are so
compelling, strong and engaging; To fight against the sin that besets us every
day; Fight against enemy hosts and the satanic army that does not give up
trying to defeat us and get us away from God ...
I have to feed daily on the Word of the Lord that is the truth, to
remember every day that I need to be bound in the true vine that is Jesus
Christ; Take possession of the armor of God that the Apostle Paul speaks to the
Ephesians, and enjoy the grace conquered on the cross of Calvary, leaving in no
way my seat in the heavenly regions in Christ Jesus. This morning I want to
obey the voice of command of my Lord; I want to strengthen my weary hands, to
steady my knees, to be able to say to the discouraged of heart: "Be
strong, do not fear, your God turns to save you!"
