Humanity lives
through difficult days. Just open the newspapers to see how much man has lost
his values for nothing. Life, the similitude, the nature and, above all, the
teachings left by Jesus Christ are no longer respected. The world's atrocities
are so great that some people even say that certain people have no more
salvation and do not deserve a second chance at God.But God is not
spiteful as we are. He sees our faults, and yet He has mercy on us. He always
gives us a second chance when we ask from the heart.
The Bible is very clear when it says that God's mercy is inexhaustible and far greater than our sins. That is, it is possible to have a second chance with Heavenly Father.
Have you ever heard of a man in the Bible called Manasseh? He was king of Israel, but he hated God and did all he could to destroy His people. This king promoted idolatry, witchcraft and even sacrificed his own son to a pagan deity (2 Chronicles 33: 6). For these and other reasons, Manasseh was considered the worst king of all.But the Bible says that once Israel was invaded and this king captured. After suffering much in prison, he reflected on all the evil he had done against God and His people, and repented. Manasseh turned from the heart to the Lord and He forgave him. Look:"When he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his supplication and heard his supplication" 2 Chronicles 33: 12,13Just as it happened to King Manasseh, God wants to give you a second chance too! It is enough for you to repent of your sins and surrender your life to Christ. The Lord's promise to you is, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1: 9).
