TWO ORDERS AND A PROMISE

"Commit thy way unto the Lord, trust in Him, and He will do it" (Psalm 37: 5).

We have become every day more agitated, restless and anxious, wanting to have control of everything. But we are foolish to think that we can govern our own destiny. The above verse gives us two orders and a promise: 

The first order is that we must surrender our way to the Lord, for we have no strength or wisdom to rule our own lives, not to make the best choices. We must give our life, our family, our dreams and our future in God's hands. It has the best for us and His plans are higher than ours. His will is good, perfect and pleasing (Romans 12: 2)

The second order is that we should trust in the Lord. When we do not trust God, we were very anxious, so we must be sure that God is completely reliable and He is not a man to lie. None of His Words falls apart and all His promises are trustworthy.

If we follow these two orders of God, we can trust that He will do because the same God who commands us to deliver our care to Him and trust, assures us that we do for all things! We need not live anxious about our future. Our job is to rest in Him!
