"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and
perfect will of God." Romans 12: 2
Jesus came to this world, but He was not the world. So He did not
infected with sin and evil (see John 17:14). And we too, if we follow Him, we
must turn away from all that separates us from God.
As you read the Gospels, we realized that no one ever had so much
compassion for sinners as Jesus, but He never became involved with sin, because
he knew that was the path of holiness to fellowship with God.
Similarly, we should follow the example of the Master and understand
that if we want to grow spiritually, we can not be conformed to this world!
This separation from sin may be a sad way, but it is the only way that gives us
security. Living against this world can cause us much pain and rejection of
people, but it will still be a happy life, for nothing can steal the joy of a
soldier of Christ!
The peace that Jesus gives His followers is so nice that we feel more
calm and tranquility in our daily struggle than others in their moments of
rest.
"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in
heart; and you will find rest for your souls. "
Matthew 11:29
