"The
Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength
of my life; whom shall I fear? " Psalm 27: 1
Now, in the
light there is no fear, since before it all darkness vanishes. As in Light, in
love and faith also there is no fear. So walk in the light is to walk in love
and faith. It is this certainty that David says still to remain surrounded and
barricaded by his enemies, full of death spirits, his heart, however, do not
fear nor would be hostage to fear and anguish.
That, though,
walking in the Light, walk in love and faith; therefore, has no enemies. It has
an opponent, but it is not an enemy of it. After all, only then you can walk
free. The contrary, one is slave wars and the hatred of our enemies. Then,
leaving the subject of fear and the hand of enemies, suddenly David reveals his
inmost desire: to live in the house of God; David says he would come to see the
beauty of God's holiness and love the One who is.
This was his
motivation to seek to live with God in this life! David did not want power,
wanted Presence! The trust walk in fathered Light in David produced in him a
belief of such great love, he says that his father, Jesse, and his mother,
abandon and bandeassem to his enemies, yet he knew that love would be faithful
to him from God:
"Wait
on the LORD, courage, and he shall strengthen your heart; Yes, wait for the
Lord. " Psalms 27:14. When seeking the Lord in this way, he says. It may be important to note
that the Lord allows us to have trials.
Even with the
trials, however, when we seek Him, He frees us from fear.
