"Therefore confess your sins
to one another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The prayer of
a righteous man is powerful and effective. " James 5:16
Most people find it difficult to
pray because they are considered impure and unjust, then try to behave better,
so hoping their prayers to be answered.
The truth is that if we are born
again, that is, if we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we become righteous
in God's eyes. Maybe we do not do everything right; but we are 100% just
through Jesus Christ! See what the Bible says ::
"God made sin for us, who
knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God" (2
Corinthians 5:21).
There is a difference between
justice and "correct" behavior. Justice refers to our condition
before God for the blood of Jesus. We can not become righteous, for we are
sinners, but the blood of Jesus is 100% pure and it gives us free access to the
Father, as if we had never sinned.
God sees us as righteous and
holy, even make mistakes. This because; when He looks at us, He sees the blood
of His Son shed for us on the cross, and with that we can pray and expect God
to hear us and answer us!
So I want to give you some
advice: If you have not given your life to Jesus and are not sure of their
salvation; do it now. But if you've been born again, do the best you can to
obey the Word of God. But remember: God hears and answers your prayers because
He is good, not because you are good!
