"Immediately Jesus reached out and grabbed him
and said. 'Man of little faith, why did you doubt?' When they entered the boat,
the wind ceased. " (Matthew 14: 31-32)
Sometimes we are ashamed to admit to God that we need
help. We felt like we could work things out for ourselves. But crying out to
Jesus is what we should do. We should not be ashamed of it.
When Peter came walking on the water toward Jesus and
began to sink, it probably has not been a surprise to Jesus. He knew who Peter
really was, but knew who Peter was to be. He did not just see it for what it
was. She saw him also for what it would be. And it is so that God sees us.
Jesus knew that Peter would fail, not only in this
situation, but also later, when the deny. In fact, Jesus called Peter's
attention on one occasion (see Luke 22: 31-32). Therefore, the failure of Peter
was not a surprise to Jesus.
And when Peter was sinking, the Bible tells us that
"Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him and said. 'O thou of little
faith, because you doubted' When they entered the boat, the wind ceased. "
(Matthew 14: 31-32).
The Bible does not say that Jesus carried Peter back.
They entered the boat, which means that Peter stood up and walked with Jesus on
the water again, back to the boat. And where Jesus took Peter and the
disciples? Back on the ground.
We miraculous moments in our lives, experiences, to
reach the top of mountains. But experience to reach the top of mountains
prepare us for the valleys of life. calm waters prepare us for the storms.
Perhaps you are now sinking. Maybe you are seized by
fear, worry and defeat. Follow the example of Peter, cry out to Jesus. He will
not rebuke a person trying to come to Him by faith.
