NOT FEAR OR WORRY

"Do not fear what they fear, do not be afraid." 1 Peter 3:14
Do what is right creates an uncomfortable situation for those who do not. These are angry those who properly come and threaten them. Faced with this situation and these people, Peter exhorts that has not afraid of these threats nor give way to concern. The tranquility should be maintained even in the face of other people's agitation. Other versions prefer to say "do not be alarmed," "do not be troubled his heart," "not be intimidated" or "do not lose sleep."
Of the two apostle's recommendations (not to be afraid, do not worry), which would be the most difficult? It is likely that most believers find it easier to overcome fear of the concern. The concern is a disease. She wears, ages, steals emotional security and mental well-being.
The Bible is full of exhortations contrary to fear. The Israelites, God said, "Do not be scared, do not be dismayed, do not be afraid" (Deuteronomy 20: 3). Before he died, Moses said to Joshua, "Do not be scared, do not be afraid" (Deuteronomy 31: 8). The highest concentration of passages to "not be afraid" is the book of Isaiah. In one, God says, "Do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God "(Isaiah 41:10). In the same chapter, we read: "You are small, soft spot, but do not be afraid" (Isaiah 41:14). Earlier, God had recommended: "Do not be afraid of what the people are afraid" (Isaiah 8:12).
But the Bible also condemns concern. To the Pharaoh of Egypt sent word to his brethren, "Do not worry for leaving behind the things they have, for the best there is in the land of Egypt will be theirs" (Genesis 45:20). Jesus was the greatest preacher of the "do not worry". In the Sermon on the Mount, the Lord teaches the disciples not to worry about what to eat, what to drink and what to wear, because "your Father who is in heaven knows that you need them" (Matthew 6 : 32).
Who has ears, let him hear what Jesus said to the sister of Lazarus: "Martha, Martha, you are worried about many things" Luke 10:41
