"So you
have been raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ
sitteth at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things that are above, not
on things on the earth; For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in
God. When Christ who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with
him in glory. Put to death therefore your members which are upon the earth:
fornication, impurity, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and
covetousness, which is idolatry "; Colossians 3: 1-5.
It is a natural
desire to want to be in control of your life, however, it is not a possible
target. Assume that you can control all people and situations that arise in
your life is an unrealistic expectation, and this will lead to frustration and
exhaustion. God has blessed plan for all people, which includes a much higher
life to everything the world can offer, but achieving it involves denying
himself.
God tirelessly
fighting flesh, our human nature, and its target is to free us from the control
of the flesh. The process of giving up and giving up control can be painful,
but the end result is worth it. So, stop wanting to take control and let God be
God in your life.
