"I have not spoken in secret, in place some of
the land darkness not say to the offspring of Jacob, 'Seek me in vain: I the
LORD speak the truth, I declare what is right." (Isaiah 45.19)
"Look unto
me"! This is an admonition of the Lord often repeated in the Scriptures.
But if God calls us to seek Him, then it should also be possible to meet Him.
But how we shall meet Him? Well, that's no secret. The only requirement
mentions the Lord through the prophet Jeremiah:
". ... When you seek me
with all your heart I will be found of you ..." It makes no sense to pray
or promote prayer meetings if we do not wholeheartedly . In Jeremiah 48.10, the
Lord says: "Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord relaxed."
Prayer is a glorious thing, but also dangerous, because if we do not seek the
Lord with all your heart, then everything is in vain. The only correct
indication for our way, the much needed direction, only received before the
Lord, when we seek Him with sincerity.
