How long you
do not surrender to God? I mean, really surrender to Him? When was the last
time you gave Him an undiluted portion of your uninterrupted time, to hear His
voice? Apparently Jesus did it. He made a deliberate effort to spend time with
God.
Spend some
time reading about the effort that Jesus was to listen to God and a distinct
pattern emerges. He regularly spent time with God, praying and listening. Mark
1:35 says "In the morning, when it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the
house and went to a deserted place, where he prayed." Luke tells us that
"Jesus retirava- to lonely places and prayed" .
Let me ask
the obvious. If Jesus, the Son of God, the non-sin Savior of mankind, thought
it was important to set aside time in your schedule to pray, we would not be
wise to do the same?
