You probably know
Psalm 23, which says: “The LORD is my shepherd; nothing will fail me. ”
When truly the Lord
is our shepherd all our needs are met. To say that the Lord is our shepherd and
to live in constant need is at least contradictory.
How can we be sure
that the Lord has been our pastor?
Answer: If we are
hearing and following His voice.
We cannot say that He
is our pastor if we are not even listening to Him, or worse, if we hear Him and
do not follow Him.
If we listen and
follow the Lord, we can rest in green pastures and be sure that He will guide
us gently into the still waters.
Make no mistake, make
sure that you have heard and followed the voice of the Good Shepherd; and thus
declare with faith, The Lord is my shepherd, and I will lack nothing!
“My sheep hear my
voice, and I know them, and they follow me”; John 10:27
