"O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man who
trusts in you." Psalm 84:12
It has never been easy to rely completely on
the Lord's sovereignty. The Bible is full of examples of people who have
failed, when their trust in the Lord has been put to the test. Hence the
psalmist's poem: "O Lord Almighty, how happy are those who trust in
You" (Psalm 84:12).
Trusting in the Lord is part of a brave
learning. The first trust starts small, in a situation that we consider
important, but that does not require a total commitment. Every little
experience of waiting constructively in divine intervention becomes a spiritual
reinforcement.
People who have developed the daily habit of talking to the Lord go so far as to miss prayer when decisions need to be made. It is not by chance the recommendation of Scripture: "Pray without ceasing." 1 Thessalonians 5:17 This habit will always come to our mind when decisions - big or small - must be made.

Regular prayer produces security. Because of
this, it builds a great inner well-being. Trusting in God, when we first try
our human solutions, is not the raw material of bliss. The raw material of
trusting God in the face of great problems is the repetition of trust in the
landlord every day of life, even in very small situations. Therefore, blessed
is the person who has proposed in his heart to share with God his victory and
defeat, be they great or small.
